Free- Fall from the Edge of Space PT. 1 & 2

Our project was split into two parts: our first part posed the question - ‘what is a manifesto?’

and then using your own personal manifesto to communicate this message to a small, medium or wide audience through images.

By being given a reference list, we were expected to look at them as a starting point for the foundation of our manifesto to reflect on various interests, concerns, desires, and beliefs through intensive research.

The objective was to create a typographical A2, Black and White image that communicates your manifesto to an audience.

Throughout this time we’ve spent researching, developing and understanding our manifesto. This manifesto may have developed some changes after Part A, but should exhibit a knowledge and subsequent further development of your manifesto.

Your 1st outcome is to develop a user-guide, which will be presented in a bespoke vessel. The user-guide can be designed in any format, but must be informed by our previous research and experimentation.

The user guide content and formats must be relevant and help us understand the objectives of the manifesto.

The 2nd outcome, is to create the environment or location that your user-guide and container will reside in.

One should conduct numerous experiments, employing a range of visual strategies and experimentation before deciding on one’s  nal idea or outcomes. This will allow one to make the right choices with regards to how one chooses to perfect the aesthetic and message that you want to communicate.

I have produced a potential commercial product that could be used in an advertising campaign for UAL: LCC. It comprises six posters, a User-Guide and a vessel-style wallet which communicates visually with typography and photography which exemplies my manifesto and the manifesto of fellow students.

I could see these posters being utilised in a PR campaign for UAL: LCC and in a health campaign, for example, like World Mental Health Day
